After his final school exam, Gerrit Strotmann first successfully concluded his professional training as a bank employee at the Deutsche Bank AG. After having successfully concluded also his First and Second State Exam for Lawyers, he was admitted to the bar in 1998 and has been a partner of the law firm since the year 2000.
 
He works in consultation as well as before court. His main focus lies on the consultation of medium-sized companies, especially in the fields of contracts, corporate law, tax law, distribution law, UN sale of goods law, and competition law, as well as on the consultation and appearing for banking institutions.
 
In 2001, Gerrit Strotmann was appointed as a lawyer specialized in tax law; in 2006, he was additionally appointed as a lawyer specialized in commercial and corporate law and in banking and capital market law.
